This is long but well worth it. I got behind a woman once with 32 items in the express lane. When I commented that it must be nice to go through life without not knowing how to count, she made a point of telling me that she bought a toothbrush, toothpaste & mouthwash and that counted as 1 item; and she had bought 3 bottles of the same lotion so that also counted as one item. I lost it and told her that if you could go to jail for being stupid, she would get a life sentence! I thought the cashier was going to wet her pants.

I worked as a cashier at a grocery store and I would alwayz put those people out of my line. Just as a common courtesy to others, you just don't do that.
Makes no sense, I got one item and gotta stand in line behind gramma writing a check with half a cart full. Ridiculous!!!

If it's just a couple over the limit, I don't mind. A whole buggy full of groceries ticks me off. I usually ask them if they are aware they're in the express line and then they move.
What I think about them is they are inconsiderate *******.

I don't like it. I hope that once the offender gets to the parking lot, which by the way, is on a slanted sloped very large hill, they make the mistake of letting go of their cart to open the trunk...you know what they say about payback and karma.......

Well I felt really bad one day doing that but the cashier called me over and I told her that i had more but she said that she didn't care. A lady got in behind me and started making snide remarks. I finally turned to her and told her that the cashier had called me over and that shut her up real fast.

They don't bother me as much as the ones who hear the on coming clerk, who says "I'll take the next customer in line"...and they JUMP in front of you or knock you down trying to get to the counter! Grrrrr...!!
