why is it when us(men) wake up with erections, we sometimes have to take a leak?

happens to me sometimes...after a long restfull sleep.

The erection is related to the cortisol surge.....occurs every morning, changes blood pressures and vessel responses can sometimes cause an erection because the penis is just a vascular sponge basically.

The pee thing.....it is because you haven't peed in the last 8 hours.

it's what's known as the pee hard on don't just get em in the morning

We wake up with a hardon for that very reason; 'cuz we need to pee.
