Do I just hook the phone line into the router and use my ethernet cables to hook up to each of my pc's or do I need some kind of special adapter or something? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

You cannot connect more than one computer at a time to a dial-up connection, unless you have separate phone lines with different numbers for each computer. You cannot use a router for a dial-up connection and you also do not use an ethernet cable for dial-up connections; they are for broadband. Use a plain phone cable to connect your computer directly to the phone jack; you may use a splitter to connect both of your computers to the phone jack, but keep in mind that you can only have one of them connected to the internet at the same time. When you are using dial-up you will not be able to receive any phone calls on that line because it will be busy.

Even if you could do it, you don't want to share a 5.6 Kbps connection with two computers. It will take a minute for a graphic intense webpage to load on dialup. Now imagine doubling the time if two computers were using it.

you would need an external modem for that configuration and a wireless router that has a RS232 interface to connect to the modem.

with dial-up Internet access there just isn't enough bandwidth to warrant such a configuration as you would only be able to use one computer at a time while connected to the net...
