The most overrated is Ben Wallace to me bacause the defense has gotten worse in Chicago since he got there. For all the money he is making he isn't getting much done. We all know he couldn't hit the ground with the ball in 3 tries on the offensive side of the ball. 3 months ago I would have said the most underrated would have been Dwight Howard but he has been gettin a lot of pub. lately. Despite that he still might be one of the most underrated players. Look at what he did against someone like Garnett when a team left him to cover Howard one on one. If not him than I would say Carlos Boozer. He hadn't been playing well since he got into Utah from Cleveland, but this year he is showing why Cleveland made a mistake in not paying up for him.

not going to be popular with this but I would say Allen Iverson. He is a career 42% FG shooter but yet you see him at the top of the scoring leaders every year. Becuase he averages 23 shots a game! His cant really shoot the 3 well (30% career) and his free throws for a PG are not off the charts (77%). Amazing during the 2001-02 season he averaged 31.4 ppg and shot under 40%. He jacked up 28 per game that year. I'm not saying he is a bad player but not all he is hyped up to be.
Underrated I will go with dikembe mutumbo, simply because he is like 50 now and he still does all the dirty work. He isnt sexy in the stat column but he helps his team win and thats what counts.

You are asking who is the most overrated player in the NBA..... I have to go with Lebron James. For the fact that he is already put into the same league as Michael Jordan (The Best To Ever Play). He has nowhere near the defensive ability as MJ so therefore he is the most OVERRATED although he is an outstanding player. The most underrated player in my mind is Antwan Jamison. Everyone talks about Arenas Arenas Arenas. In all honesty Jamison has been amazing ever since he first came into the NBA. He never gets the credit he deserves.

Overrated? T-Mac. Great scorer. Not much else. NEVER won a playoff series.
Underrated? Tough call, but how about Shawn Marion. Was the only player in the Top 20 in every statistical category last season, but is rarely mentioned in the same breath with the KGs, TDs, AIs, Kobes, Wades, Shaqs, LeBrons, etc.

most overrated is no surprise: it's steve nash
he didn't deserve any of his MVP's and benefits from his team shooting in the first 5 seconds so he has so many opportunities for assists while not actually creating for anyone and his old team (dallas) had to get rid of him before they could make the finals
a team should not improve (like dallas did) if they get rid of a real MVP
most underrated this season is probably Zach Randolph putting up 24 and 10 but not being talked about very much at all even though statistically he's having a better season than guys like dirk

Yeah Boozer and Redd are under. Kobe is over. He's a greedy ball hog and the Lakers played good without him. I have a kid on my 6th grade team who doesmn't pass and we always lost. Last game he gave it up and we won by 37!

Even though he is hurt I think Mike Redd is way under-rated.
