Ken Stabler once again gets passed over for the Hall. Compare his stats to his contemparaies of the same era, Bradshaw, Gresie, Staubach. Stabler has more passing yards then the other three, second in TD passes, and has a highr completion record. He is on the NFL all 70's decade team with Bradshaw and Staubach. He led the raiders to 5 straight division title 72-76. His only knock is he played against three domiant teams. If you look at stabler 71-80 his prime the raiders lost he led the raiders to the playoffs and to the championship game. From 72-80 only 4 teams won the supper bowl. Pitt-4, dallas ans miami 2 each raiders- 1. Stabler just happened to play against some of the great nfl teams and was as good as their QB"s Stabler belongs in the Hall.

I watched Stabler play some games on TV from 1976 until he retired. The guy was no doubt crafty and cool under pressure. He had a few good years and one Super Bowl win, but the QBs you mentioned all won at least 2, plus they had at least 3 Super Bowl appearances.

The only other knocks on Stabler I can think of was he had around 30 more career interceptions than touchdowns, and his teams lost more championships than they won titles. These are most likely key factors that influence the voters and writers.

I think Stabler deserves to be inducted for the accomplishments you mentioned, though I am also a bit biased because I saw a lot of talented players during that era and I'd like to see more get in.
