My husband and I would really like to start getting pregnant with our second child. The only problem is during my first pregnancy I found out I had an abnormal pap. So when I wasnt pregnant anymore i had another pap and a colposcopy and found out I had mild dysplacia. Then I had another pap and it came back normal. I am supposed to go to the doc again at the end of feb. Should we wait till we go to the doc and find out everything is okay or does it not really matter. I just dont want to find out I need to have some spots removed and already be preg and afford having it spread.

I have worked in a pathology laboratory for quite some time, so I have experience with the colposcopies or "cones". If it is mild dysplasia, then you will probably have to go through what is called a cercloge. That's when they sew up the cervix for pregnancy. If your PAP came back abnormal, and this is all it showed, then it's good. But you still should wait until you see your doctor. Only because some PAP's can come back as HPV Low Risk, or HPV High Risk. And you don't want to go through that while pregnant. Hope this helps.

I think you should wait. Check with your doctor. You don't need to jeoparadise the babys life if you get pregnant.

Yes....for your own safety and that of the baby. Just wait these few more weeks.
