latly i have been hearing that neither zac nor vanessa acually sang in high school musical. what is this all about? if they didn't sing, why did they get the parts for the movie???

good question...well i know that zac's voice was mixed with another kid's and then he was lip syncing in the film...i haven't heard about vanessa but we KNOW that she can sing because of her hit song baby come back or whatever...I also heard that zac is gunna be in a film or something where he will actually sing with 100% his own voice...so well see if hes any good

I just read an article on High School Musical online. Vanessa Anne Hudgen's does sing the part as Gabriella Montez and is infact not lyps singing. While on the other hand Zac Efron who play's Troy Bolton did lyps sing, the actual person singing for Troy Bolton was/is Andrew Seeley.

zac's voice was mixed with Drew Seelys and then he was lip syncing in the film i never about Vanessa but we KNOW that she can sing because of her hit song baby come back to me and album...I also heard that zac is going to be in a movie version of the musical Hairspray where he will actually sing with 100% his own voice...plus they all lip-synced for filming and sang with there OWN voice in a sound studio all no singing rumors are just people being jealous of them that's all.

Vanessa did ALL of her singing and Zac did most of his but his singing voice is really low so for the higher parts they had to blend his voice with Drew Seeley's.

vanessa anne hudgens really sang, but they mixed drew seely's voice with zac efron's because his voice couldn't reach all the notes.

they DID sing
my friend's uncle worked on the set and she got to go and see them shoot it!!!!
(like in the studio)
