I want to be able to go onto my computer at home and access my computer at work. I want to be able to open programs on my work computer, do some work, and print and I don't know how to get set up. I'm not that computer knowledgable so I'll need a pretty basic step by step instruction, please. Thank You

If your work computer has Win XP Pro, then it has a remote diesktop feature. What you need is the IP address of that computer. you can obtain this from the status tab of your internet connection dialog box. You then need to check to see if Remote Desktop is enabled- it is under properties' advanced tab when you right click on 'my computer'. Moving on, at home, your computer must also be Win XP Pro (or Server 2003), on the start menu, under accessories and communications is remote desktop. Type in your works' IP address in the box. the other options allow you to connect your home drives to your work computer and also your printer. You then login normally after the computer is connected. However, some IT dept of companies block the port required to do this, so if it doesn't work, then talk to them about it.
