We have a president who cannot pronounce simple words, such as nuclear, in his daily speech. It would be an embarrassment to any higher education facility to endorse this library and at the same time promote their college in a positive way. It just wouldn't be an asset.

I think it's to be expected at any school for any president.

I oppose the library to be built and I am an SMU alumna, but this is a pretty weak argument against it: "Dallas is already known as the city in which President Kennedy was assassinated, so does Dallas want a Bush library that could become a prime terrorist target?" McElvaney asked."

I laughed when I read that! And also laughed at Luis Arango's ignorant statement.

I hope Baylor gets it. U of Dallas would be even better. Let them choke on it.

Bush isn't good enough to be used as a boot wipe for Clinton. While I didn't appreciate Clinton's sexism, Bush has a lot more faults than Clinton did. For one, look at all the people he's killed and what danger he has put our country..not only war-wise but financially. Bush will be well known as one of the worst Presidents.

I don't blame the teachers for not wanting his library there. Who would want one of the Worst Presidents in the history of our nation to be booed at their library???

I am just guessing, but I think there were problems when Nixon's library was going up. Also, there were problems with Clinton's library (not because of the man, but because of the style/architecture of the library).

I am just going on memory, not on facts. But, I don't think Bush is alone with problems concerning a Presidential library.

Yes. Clinton had a problem with his library too. The people in Harlem thought it would bring property values down, and they only had three books. The worst part is that one was an issue of Hustler, and the other two had already been colored in.

I think it's amusing since he doesn't appear to read anyway. I also thought it was funny that he gave the most recent speech from a library.

On my abortion question, you just might be the dumbest person ever. Go back and read again, and come up with a better argument. Oh, and sign up for a reading comprehension 101.
