you need to download the drivers for your new graphics card.. if you restart your comp hit "del" to enter your bios setup screen..
if you are using a pci or agp card you may need to switch that in your bios change to pci or agp.. if your bios wont let you change your start up settings you may restart computer and hit f10 to enter safemode with networking and log on to the internet and install your gpu drivers and restart your computer. hope this helps.

It sounds like you didn't have a card in that slot before? Are you sure you bought the right kind of card? If you have an AGP slot, can it handle the speed of the card you purchased? (4X vs 8X?)

If you had it plugged into the motherboard's built in video before, you may need to go into the BIOS on your system and deactivate the built in video card in order for the motherboard to recognize the card.

Other than that... sorry... not sure. It could be a bad card.

Well. you do not have the driver installed yet, or do not have your graphics card set as your default video driver. What you need to do is keep your G-card in still but instead plug the cord back into your old video card, or whever it was b4. then right click on your desktop and click properties, the settings tab, and from the drop down menu, choose your knew G-card. if it is not there, you have to install the software first.
