I worked at the cavalier plant through its full run from 82 til the end and no Z24 ever had black bumpers, the cheaper models of cavaliers did but the Z24's were always painted the color of the car and the Z24 had special wheels not hubcaps, sounds like a Z24 clone you are looking at, be careful.

Somebody might've just slapped a Z24 badge on a base Cavalier so you should do some more researching to make sure the Z24 you want is actually a Z24 and not just the badge.
P.S. My friend's sister might sell her Z24 for about $2000-3000 if you're interested.

I severly doubt it. The best way to be sure is to phone or go to the dealer with this particlar cars VIN (vehicle indentification number) and get them to check the options. Z24 is an option so it should show up or not. Good luck.

Take the vin number on the dash, and call a GM dealer, to make sure it is in fact a Z-24. It don't take much to add emblems, and rims, to make the car a Z-24 wanna be.
