I would. I would love to see Earth just sitting there all lonely. To travel the universe. See things no one else has seen. Go places no one else has been.

In my case, the question isn't wold I, but can I figure a way to afford it! It may be a few years--but by the time I can, the new commercial sector space industry may be able to provide affordable trips into orbit. If not, I'll settle for a ride on one of the new suborbital ships. Hope to see you there!

Is any falling involved? Does orbiting feel like falling off a building for 10 days? Not if I have to fall.

Well, currently if you go on the Space Shuttle you have about a
1-in-50 chance of dying..

I mean look at this, you can hardly get 100 missions in before someone dies. It might not happen often, and it isn't likely, but when something does goe wrong there's really nothing you can do about it and everybody dies.

Not like an airplane crash landing where some people may die and some people may live, at the speeds and heights involved everyone dies.

If it were safe and inexpensive as air flight I'd go in a heartbeat.

No idea. Look at how long it took for air travel to reach such levels of still expensiveness. At least it has a practical purpose, turning the travel times from days to hours.

What practicalness could come from space travel? New York-Hawaii in 1 hour? Sightseeing?

It'll take awhile.

I would like to do a short term space travel. It would be beautiful to see that Blueberry called Earth from afar. And maybe walk on the moon. But I love this planet too much to leave forever. I want to feel the warmth of the sun. I want to be able to walk barefoot on the beach. I would miss those simple pleasures far too much.

I would take a reasonable risk. If the space craft had flown safely before for example. I don't think I would take the first ride on a new space craft design though.

Oh, definitely. I think it's well-worth the risks. Even if it's just one orbit around for less than a day I would.

I would, I feel like you do.
BTW: I risk my life by traveling in traffic on earth, so why not off it?
