My game has been going fine until when I recently downloaded The sims 2 pets. Then, it started going real slow so I can't even enjoy the game! I have all of the sims 2 games. Sims 2, University, Out for Buisness, Nightlife, and Pets. I want to be able to enjoy my game and have fun but it's going so slow! : (

Hi have you tried turning off any programs that might be running in the background?
My pc is a bit old & to play 'Open for Business' I had to turn off my virus checker & all the other open programs.
I pressed ctrl alt del & turned off programs/processes that I didn't need whilst playing the game (be careful though, turn off some of the wrong ones & you'll crash your pc)
It's a bit of a pain though as I have to re-boot if I want to go on the internet.
I think that another way to speed it up is to change the resolution of the game when it actually loaded & turn shadows off, etc. But I felt that this spoiled my enjoyment a little as I love the brilliant graphics in the game.

It could be that you don't have enough ram, double check the requirements for The Sims 2 Pets, usualy it will show the requierments for the game w/ all expansions. I have them all and my game is quite quick to load & play. Is it gameplay issues your having? If so, it could be ram or video memory. You should check out both.

it would want to favor to be that you have not were given adequate ram, double ensure the criteria for The Sims 2 Pets, usualy it is going to teach the requierments for the pastime w/ all expansions. I have all of them and my recreation is amazingly quick to load & play. Is it gameplay problem concerns your having? if so, it would want to favor to be ram or video reminiscence. you'll likely favor to investigate both.
