anyone ever suspect that you were banned from yahoo just for your politlcal views not agreeing with the mods? This goes for both libs and cons.

I use to have 2,000 points of Yahoo! Answers and would post here daily (i t WAS fun) under the name Flash Virus. I was a conservative too. Then one day Yahoo! sends me an email saying I was banned (now, on thiis flash virus name i NEVER swore or threatend anyone or did anything like that) and the thing is, under the "reason for banning" they put NOTHING! And all i did was post under this forum.. So i'm wondering if its because one of the mods got angry at me or something.

Then I kept emailing them and all they did was send me that dumb "if you have a problem or comment contact blahblahwesuck@yahoo.com" then i contact them and they send back the same thing.

Just wondering if i'm alone here.

Chørpchn:
have you ever been banned (or suspended as they call it even though you never get your acoutn back). If you get "banned" from Y! Messsenger then it was by a yahoo BOT not a real person, and NO email is sent to you.

HOWEVER i was banned from YAHOO! answers, thus some dumb yahoo auto-email thing said "your account has been suspended blah blah blah contact blahblah@yahoo.com).

Have you even been banned? if not, dont' comment on what happens lol.
I could send you people screenshots of confirmation i was banned (suspended) but i'm sure eeveryone knows what i'm saying

It seems you were reported because someone didn't like your views. Once you get reported enough, you get canned. The truth is these "moderators" don't really investigate these reports (did you notice EVERY email they sent was just some generic automated reply). I've gotten reported after violating no rules, and others have been reported (and some removed) without violating any rules either.

The reporting system is a broken one and it is subject to misuse. Unfortunately, we have no recourse, because even if you complain, Yahoo! doesn't investigate.

I've only been in this forum since Dec30,2006 and already I'm in deep doo-doo. I haven't done anything that many others aren't doing. As a matter of fact I thought I was learning the ropes by reading the questions and answers that others posted in order to determine the limits. And yes, I also read the Community Guidelines, something I'm sure not all do. Now I'm learning that words like "libtard" are OK if used by neocons but "bushtards" is not allowed when used by liberals. (I don't see anything wrong in using either one, to be fair.) I've been accused of saying things I've never said. Since when does complaining mean the same as whining, I've never accused anyone of whining and wouldn't. This is where we're supposed to express our opinions as long as we remain respect full of one anothers feelings. Well nuff sed, I believe I know a little of what the OP is trying to get across. Life ain't always fair and neither is Yahoo.

You are not alone, it happens to everyone, and i too received an e-mail telling me my account was suspended, be Happy, don't worry, you cant buy anything with Yahoo points, all it allows you to do is ask or answer more questions. Do like their favorite Liberals do set up 5 or 6 accounts and change your name 2or 3 times a day. Some people report you if you do not agree with their point of view and it will continue.

They don't send you an email that they are banning you. They just do it, no warning. This makes me doubt your story, in part or in whole.

What's your game? How many people are you going to report for abuse who answer this in a way you don't like?

ADDENDUM: You may have gotten a "keep getting violation reports, and we'll delete you" email. But I guarantee you that it's impossible to be banned from yahoo answers, and receive an email telling you so. Cannot happen. lol

Just move on under your new name. Arguing with Yahoo is like arguing with a brick wall. They wont listen. Chances are your emails were never even read by a real person. I have had more names deleted under yahoo than i can remember now. It sucks to lose all your points but hey, what can you do.

unlawful solutions gets you banned. solutions that are sexual, violent or approximately drugs. do on no account recommend you provide a baby drugs - that qualifies below injury to minors AND unlawful drugs. purely a number of those and you're outta here. The Polls & Surveys class is merely for exciting and to ask questions that have no relevence in the different class. besides TOS is that in case you get a ton of violations in one day or in case you're saying something deemed "unlawful". Yahoo won't be able to delight every physique.

It's hard to say without seeing your history of posts.

I understand what you're saying about those replies. Aren't they horrible? I can appreciate that they don't have the resources to answer a lot of people, but they shouldn't pretend that they'll get back to you, when all they do is send back an automated form letter.

I've been waiting 2 years for my launchcast question to be answered. They promised they'd get back to me. Yeah, right!

Censorship to that degree on this forum?! Man, that would really take the cake. For the sake of internet democracy, I hope yours was an isolated glitch in the system, not standard operating procedure. Where is it going to lead us if we can't freely express and exchange ideas? The fact they haven't dignified with a real response and a real reason goes to show someone doesn't have a leg to stand on.... keep posting - whatever your opinion. Let freedom reign!!!

That is shocking to hear Yahoo is so closed minded! It would really be nice if someone from Yahoo Answers would respond to this. We all support this service, but would not be so helpful if only one side was allowed to have opinions. Please, is anyone reading this that works here?
