You can find action figures at Toys R Us.
Amazon.com has the DVDs and CDs. Possibly books too. But the better way to get rare items is through Amazon.co.jp or through online auctions.
You mentioned that you wanted stores, then I suggest a specialty shop that sells anime and manga (more options, possibly would allow you to order something from Japan through them) or Toys R Us.
