A friend of mine took the morning after pill, also known as Plan B and about a month later she found out she is pregnant. It turns out that she was already pregnant (approx a week) when she took Plan B, also on that same day she began taking birth control pills because when the clinic gave her a test it came out negative, will the pill have any effects on her baby?

It could but the doctor can do test to help determine if the child is OK. Be supportive of your friend and let her know that you are there for her, and make sure she gets to the doctor regular. I am sure the baby will be fine, special needs children are rare actually.

No, it says right on the info booklet that comes with plan b that if taken when pregnant the pill will not effect a pregnancy.

She should talk to her doctor about it. I dont know if its definately harmful but a precursor to taking the Plan B pill is to agree that if it didnt work....you may have to follow up with a surgical abortion.

Its definitely possible. But I wouldn't rely on the answers here...tell your friend to ask a doctor. I hope everything turns out ok
