Don't take this question the wrong way! but do you associate the name "Chase" to a certain ethnicity? I have only met a couple of Chase's and they were black..so I was wondering if this name is more prominent for a certain ethnicity. It's an unusual name, so just looking for opinoins. Thanks :)

Funny this is posted because I have a little boy Chase and he is white. Well, a couple of my black friends at work always tease me about giving Chase a name that is "so white" because my name is Shaye which they think is a "black girl name". They always tell me that you will never meet a black man named Chase. I guess they have been proven wrong by your question!! :)

I have people tell me all the time that it is a "soap opera name" or a "rich person name".

Take Care! SD

I think this is a FINE question! I do not associate it with an ethnicity. I love it for both a girl's and boy's name. I do not know any people named Chase personally, but I liked it as a possible name for the little girl in my belly. Maybe it's different where you live, but it has no connotation of ethnicity around here.

Usually associate to White people. Perfect example Chevy Chase. I know a white girl named Chase and Dr. Chase Meridian from Batman Forever.

The only Chase I knew was a white guy so no I really don't think of a certain race when I hear the name. I do LOVE the name and think it is original yet not hard to pronounce. Good Choice

I'm related to some Chases (surname) and they're white. As for the first name I've never known anyone with that name. I like the idea of it being a first name for any race.
Take a look at the name Chad I've known both races to have the name Chad and any other name such as Michael and or William.

I seriously know like 5 white guys named Chase. So no...a name shouldn't determine a person's ethnicity.

I don't associate it with any ethnicity, but it does seem to be more of the same ethnicity's. But myself have only met 2 Chase's.
