What does a rectal exam feel like in a gyno exam iam worried please step by step what does it do/ feel like Please iam not trying to be gross

It feels like a finger going up your butt.I don't know how else to explain it. It doesn't hurt or anything.

You barely feel it. The only thing that hurts is your pride. It takes a total of two seconds and trust me, the doctor wants to get it over with as much as you do...they understand the "embarrassment factor" completely.
The reason they need to do that is so they can palpate (feel) your ovaries better..they will be lightly pushing on your abdomen at the same time. They are checking for ovarian cysts/lumps.

I doesn't' hurt, but it feels uncomfortable. To me it feels just like a gyno exam. Try to relax and it should be ok. Good luck.

It doesn't really hurt--it's just one finger, not a speculum or anything.
It feels weird and gross, though, because of the lubricant.
