Not at all. Brands don't mean a thing. Just make sure that any oil you buy has the American Petroleum Institute seal on it, and that you're getting the correct weight as recommended by your manufacturer.

No, it isn't. Just use the correct grade of oil (10w-30 or whatever) for your car. It's more important to change the oil once in a while and keep the oil level right.

In the old days, 60's, the mechanics would tell you to stick with the same oil that you used from day one and don't switch, but today's engines are much better and it doesn't matter if you switch oils.

what exactly do you think would happen by changing brands? Really nothing will happen use whatever you want and switch every time you change the oil it doesnt matter.

nope not a problem with it done it many times to see which oil wears slower
