Some years ago I remember N.A.S.A was trying to develop or developing a mirror in space that would light up an area an extra 12 hours a day by reflecting the sunlight to an area that needed this (earthquake regions etc)
Do I remember right?
And if so then can you point me in the right direction on the net for info pls?

Nasa has never seriously considered that project, but some Russian scientists are planning to try it. You can read a BBC article about it at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/137343.stm
