I was wondering others experiences on the timing of a home pregnancy test. Is it better just to wait until your period is due for accuracy???

Yes, it is best to wait until your missed period. The first response preg test says you should be able to get an accurate result at least 14 days after the conceiving date.

I hear the best is First Response. It works from 10 dpo which could, depending on your cycle length, could be 4 days before your expected period. A caution about testing early though..the sensitive tests could give you a + on a chemical pregnancy. Most women never know if they have had a chemical pregnancy because the pregnancy is over before AF starts. Testing early definitely has it's pro's and cons. If you do test early wait until 10 dpo at the earliest so you don't waste your money testing too early before a result can be accurate.

It is best to wait until it is late. 1. if it comes you didn't waste money on a test. 2. It will read better after a missed period than before one is to come.
