My hope is that as the country become more diverse and people enter into more interracial relationships so will there be a increase in acceptance in these relationship. I am of hope that we go beyond just tolerance and just be accepting and caring. The bottom line is not what color someone is but they are in a relationship that is healthy and make them happy. I

it may be becoming more diverse, but that just brings up race more, making it more often that someone is offended. When issues including race are in the news it's what people talk about, and that heightens people's sensitivity and defensive reactions. after that point is past I'm sure it will become more common, and as is the case throughout history and life, what is most common becomes most accepted and "normal".

Yes, but interracial relationships should not just be tolerated, but accepted into mainsteam society on equal standing with same-race relationships.

There are no bio/psych/physiological or mental differences between the races, therefore, race A is equal to race B,C,D, etc., and as such, there is no point in differentiating interracial and same-race relationships, they are on equal standing and needed to be treated as such.
Hell, the idea of a "race" of people by itself, is purely cultural and societal.

Lord, I sincerely hope so.

Living in Vegas, I saw no evidence of intolerance towards those who chose to date outside of their race. But living in Arizona now, I can see I was extremely naive. I knew logically, there were some people who didn't approve of interracial relationships, but Im shocked at how many people truly hate those who date/marry outside of their race. I've overheard so many hateful remarks and have seen so many ugly looks toward couples who are dating/married interracially, and its, to say the least, disturbing.

I truly hope so. But It's been a really long time coming.
I was born here over 50 years ago
and as a multi- race person
in a family composed of inter-racial relationships
we continue to be subjected to intolerance in America!

Yeah, because I think that as the last generation of racist die, people will be come more tolerant, and the parents of the future can teach our kids tolerance toward other races.

Love is love and who cares what anyone thinks! You love your wife and children, like no other , that is what "love" is! NEVER let anyone come between that, EVER! You have the choice, to be a good Mother/father, and NO ONE can take that away! Do your best and you shall be rewarded! God bless!
