For months my wife wanted some cocker spaniel puppies for her birthday so, being the good husband I am, I got her four. Two boys and two girls. On the way home I stopped by a grocery store to get some cigarettes. It was about 99 degrees. When I got back to the car, I realized I locked my keys in car. After an hour I finally got it unlocked but it was too late. All four puppies are dead in their box. I told my wife I hadnt got her gift yet when I got home. How would you handle this situation.

Get new puppies and don't tell her about the other ones.

That is very sad and you should have known better. You should have taken the puppies home first then got your cigarettes. Don't tell your wife just at the moment as it will only spoil her birthday. I would suggest you get her some more puppies and be more careful this time. Tell her later on about it though, you should not have any secrets from each other.

Are you serious? You must feel horrible. I think I would tell her the truth if for no other reason than I'm sure you could use some comfort right now.

Please learn from this. Animals, especially puppies should not be left alone in parked cars in the heat for ANY length of time.

By all means, get her more puppies, but I think I would let her choose them and pick them up, no offense. I just think after what you've been thru she should do it.

Give her the cigarettes. Umm and next time use some common sense...dogs, cats, small children, etc. don't do well in a locked car when it's 99 degrees. Idiot
