probably for reasons similar to why we are encouraged to stop smoking and yet cigarettes are sold on a daily basis. Alcohol and tobacco are big businesses generating lots of income and revenue for the government because they are taxed.

There are organisations set up in protest to just about everything. If we gave into every groups demands the world would be a fairly boring, and woefully underpopulated place.
Alcohol is fine when taken in moderation, actually certain types are good for you. For instance, Red wine and brandy have been conclusively proven to lower the risk of hear attacks and cancer, where as Beer is an excellent way to keep your bones healthy. I admit it's disconcerting to walk through a major city after dark (especially here in Ireland), and struggle to find one sober person on the streets, but that's just the way our societies function...unfortunately. Still, I don't think it's the booze to blame, it's the people who go too far who should be held culpable.

Because the government tried to abolish it back in the day and it didn't work. Shows you how if the people really want something they go and get it. So I wonder if people are so unhappy with Bush Jr. why is he still the president. Kick him out of the W.H.

we don't need an organization against it, we need people to wake up and stop downing it like it is honey or something.
