Wake up! You're having a nightmare. The attack on Iran was planned years ago and is in process. Besides, I think that Cheney's silence is more because his heart can't stand the stress of public scrutiny. I'm sure he's not so quiet behind closed doors.

I don't think he could. at least not a full scale war like the Iraq boondoggle. he might be able to get a special forces team in to retrieve the criminal, but that's about it, and if Iran chose to use that insertion as an instigation to war, we don't have the troop levels needed to fight them. so if his advisers told him it would probably lead to war a smart man wouldn't do it...but Bush probably would
