Life isn't about anything.
But humans can't accept that simple fact, so give it meaning by worshipping false Gods, money, fast cars, chicks with large breasts, ect, etc.
Strip all that superfluous crap away, and all you have is a man and a woman in a cave sat around a camp fire.
And not a MacDonald's in sight.

It doesn't. I know enough people who are - for the most part - society's refuse; they serve no good purpose for themselves or loved ones around them.
Oh, and to be fair, I try to spend a sufficient amount of time just "doing nothing" in between actually accomplishing some good on Earth.
Silly me, eh?

Because you can't just wander around like a zombie, blindly accepting everything in your environment. It'd be a pretty sad existence if you didn't ever want to know anything about yourself or the world.

this is a good question (are you really Kenneth that one?), and as far as i can tell, life isn't ABOUT anything in particular, we each find our own definition to ourselves, and that may might be part of the reason we are here...
there are as many paradigms about this issue as there are humans on the planet...some just don't know it, though.

News flash, buddy, it isn't about anything. Never was.
And congratulations, you've now graduated to nihilism. Now, take this new-found knowledge and use it to apply your own meaning to life.

Because we simply live to give ourselves a meaning of existence.
That in itself is the meaning of existence.

It doesn't if you don't want it to be. Your life is what YOU want it to be about. If you don't want it to "be about" anything, well that's your choice. But remember: we reap what we sow. A meaningless life sounds awfully empty to me.

That's the beauty... it doesn't! Just enjoy it, and I think that that is the best thing one could do with one's life. (Well, presuming that you don't enjoy it by killing people or something.)

because we think it has to be about something. it is a human nature to always look for meaning and reason. sometimes we try to be too logical and our logic itself hinders us from being natural.
