apparently, he doesn't want CAPITALISM to be in effect and the government to USE IT'S MARKET POWER to lower the price of drugs...

Republicans love a free market until it means they aren't making as much money...

and the medical business sure is hurting for money, isn't it... they need all they can get, clearly... hahaha

Part of it is that if the drug companies get less money they will do less spending on research. We need the research to find new drugs for the many diseases and ailments that have none now. Parkinson's Disease, for an example.
I know that this isn't a popular answer, but I am against lowering the cost of prescription drugs for this reason. What we need is better government coverage, paying more to the people who have to buy these drug". Tell the government to Stop stealing the money in Social Security, pay back the "loans" they took out of the program and give it to the people who need it.

Because he does not care about the people of this country or the government he leaves behind for his successor. There's no way to get around it. Only an idiot or evil genius (looking to appease those that provide his party with lots of dough) would want to keep Americans from affording their drugs and the government from saving lots of money.

You have to look at any proposal on balance. I understand that this may be a difficult concept for many, but drugs cost money to research and manufacture, and many drugs fail after millions of dollars have been spent on their development.

If the governement sets the prices for medicine below what they are worth, companies won't develop innovative new medicine and people who work in the pharmaceutical sector will lose jobs.
