You can't get a legal job until you're 16. In the mean time look into odd jobs like baby/petsitting, dog walking, taking care of neighbors' homes when they go on vacation, lawn mowing, snow shoveling... etc. Little thing can help you make a few extra dollars. But don't become a workaholic, just enjoy being 13.

Most businesses don't hire people under the age of 16, there are some that go as young as 15. I don't know of any businesses (where I live, at least) that would hire a 13 year old.

If you live in a community that has home delivered newspapers, you could get a newspaper route. Most states allow children ages 12 and older to deliver newspapers. It can be difficult work and it sometimes requires working 7 days a week, but the profits can be pretty impressive.

It's a program called CashCrate. Companies like E-Bay will actually pay you to try their products and services. You don't even have to leave your computer! Most people make a few HUNDRED dollars per MONTH! All you have to do is spend a bit of time on the internet! As an added bonus, you get 20% of what your referrals make, and 10% of what their referrals make!
Also, you will receive a check from CashCrate every month...you don't have to worry about tons of checks from various companies floating through the mail!
The best part is...you only have to be 13 to join. I'm only 14 and I'm already starting to earn money for my tuition to go to Europe!!

no company can hire you. the only people that would be allowed is family. then there's babysitting jobs you can do. legally a 13 year old can't be worked much because of strict labor laws. i've heard it made making the Harry Potter movie extremely difficult because of those laws and the underage casts.

Ask a counselor at school what the minimum age is for a work permit. But why rush working? You have the rest of your life to hate having to do it every morning!

You can work as a counselor-in-training, but your parents would have to pay you, since you can't legally work. If you are fourteen you can get a work permit with their permission. I suggest you wait until the summer or take on babysitting if its something you're skilled in.

Start your own blog and put adsense on it. No better way for a genius to tap into the market. Teenagers are making some outstanding incomes this way.
