Your not alone! I'm 14 and stutter 2 i currently go for speech lessons. My dad does and my mum used to. But i don't do it as much now. I feel exactly how u do. I always get nervous at school to say something and i just get stressed because half the time i can't take it but i realised that people are not perfect. There is a reason behind it and you just have to figure it out. Your not weak at all i acutely believe that people with these sorts of problems are fighters and are unique and really special. Soon, if god wishes, you will gain your confidence and you will forget about it and not stutter!! also Practice makes perfect.. if you practice what you want to say so many times you will say it perfectly! But i know how you feel i hate speaking on the phone but my mum always says I'm young and everyone stutters at some point you just may not notice plus every ones different. I think your really brave for posting this question and i hope everything turns out okay for you.. sorry if this is long! but i just saw your question and had to help (If i have)lol Oh and one more thing. TAKE RISKS! that way you will get better! Take care and Good luck!
mail me if you want any more advice or anything its always good to speak to someone who's going through the same thing.. it always helps me.

All of us stutter at times, especially when we are nervous. Some people don't realize they are stuttering when it only happens occasionally. Check out the web site for The Stuttering Foundation of America and look under "brochures for all ages." They have some wonderful tips to help people who stutter and those same tips will help you even though you don't stutter all of the time. There is one on talking on the phone. The Foundation has helped several of my uncles and cousins who stutter.

Doesn't happen to me at all but there are some studies out there explaining this condition and how to deal with it.

Just relax and try to imagine the people you are talking to all being naked, it really does work and can even bring a bit of a giggle to you.

It's called social anxiety. Talk to your doctor or a psychiatrist or psychologist, they may prescribe something for it.

I would suggest it has to do with your breathing
