It is VERY close to the Sun. At sunset, it is just barely above the horizon. It sets while twilight is still bright, so it is very hard to see. You need a clear horizon, with no trees or hills or buildings, and no clouds at all near the horizon. Even then, it may be too close to the Sun. It was better a couple days ago, but has gotten closer since then.

Look west after sunset. It will be low and to the right of bright Venus
