...belly button. I've tried washing it, and using a few different types of shampoo and one type of really really thin, watered down bleach...and nothing seems to stop it.
It smells a bit like melted plastic and olives. Has anyone experienced similar? If so, what can I do to stop it? I'm really worried about it because my mum is starting to ask questions and people at school are starting to avoid me.

This is do to excessive sweating. Sweat contains bacteria and the bacteria creates a smell. A fungus could start to arise due to excess bacteria. An anti-fungal cream may help, such as the creams that are used for jock-itch. Go see a doctor and keep the area clean and dry.

A vague smell in the belly button is normal. If it's strong enough so people can smell it without having their nose right next to it, that's not normal.

I think you should tell the problem to your mom and discuss it with a doctor. I am sure both will help you. Sometimes things happens in us and we don´t know how to react and what it si or why.
Then it will be good to have somebody to talk with and I am sure your mother will be very helpful. Trust in her!

Do you have your navel pierced ??? If so try rubbing alcohol . Ummm maybe zest bar soap or try scrubing it with baking soda . If nothing works go to your doctor and see what is causing it ?

If you are washing it, that should be enough. You may want to go to the doctor to rule out any infections

maybe its not your belly button and maybe the smell is coming from further down south.
