OK so this is really embarrassing but a couple of days a go i had this clear discharge come out of my vagina. Today i noticed blood on my panites. I have never had my period so i don't know if this is it. When I changed pads, there was a brown/purple/red color on it. I'm really scared that I have hurt myself in some way because i do masturbate. The blood didn't go in the toilet when i pee, it just drips a little afterwards. It stays in my vagina and leaks out onto the pad. It does hurt a little during the day. I have some cramps and stinging pains. I don't want to tell anyone, least of all my mom. Please help me tell if it is my period or if i need medical help!!

I believe it's your period. The clear discharge is what keeps your vagina clean. And if it's brownish/redish then it's the start of your period. you should wait for about a week or so and see if the red blood gets darker. If it does, it is. Then it should be lighter after that! =) Don't worry. i don't think there's anything wrong with you even if you masturbate!

It certainly sounds like your period. It's normal to have cramps and stinging pains. Try taking ONE of the following: Ibeprofen, Mydol, or Pamprin to help with the cramps. Stay AWAY from caffine as it adds the the painfulness of the cramps and drink plenty of water. It is also normal if you begin to have mood swings or you get irritated easily, because your hormones are changing or whatever. Also, make sure you keep track of when you get your period. Mark the first day it starts and how long it lasts. Then count 28 days forward, day 1 is the day you first got it, and so on..Mark the 28th day as the date when your period should come again. However, don't be worried if your period comes early, or late (it may even be anywhere between 2 weeks late to 3 months late), when you first get your period it will be very irregular, but by the time you are 18 or 19, it should have regulated itself out. Don't worry, just be calm. Tell your mom you got your period, she does need to know. You're just fine, honey, don't worry.

This does sound like your period. Why don't you want to tell your mom? She is a woman like you, and she goes through the same thing every month. It can be a new and frightening thing to have your period for the first time. You may find that talking to your mom makes you feel better. She can give you advice about what you should do when you are feeling down, or have cramps, or have a heavy flow. She can also help you pick out the best kind of pads or tampons. Mom's aren't dumb or uncool. They really have good advice to give.

Nah, you're okay. periods. How old are you? sounds just like a period to me. Don't worry about it honey, and dont give it a second thought. You didnt hurt yourself, you would feel pain if you did, you might feel pain in your lower belly, but that's all a part of your period, I'm surprised your mom/guardian didnt tell you about it!

This is your period. Congrats! You are now a woman!
You have to tell your mom. She'll understand because she went through the same thing. You don't need medical help, don't worry. All girls go through this.
and you dont have to tell anyone but your mom. no one else will notice.

Sounds like your period. I don't think you can "hurt" yourself by masturbating unless you're doing something just crazy. You should be fine. I would talk to your mom though because she has been there and can hopefully make you feel more comfortable.
