if your willing to get your parents permission I don't think your too young. I got mine done about a month ago, so it will be all healed up by summer, I'm 16 but I didn't tell my parents yet I had a friends older sister take me and said she was my mom. The answer to dose it hurt. I'm not gonna lie yes. but I'm terrified of needles, and to be honest I'm a wimp, but it will hurt at least a little you will need someone to squeez their hand well actually I squeezed my friend to my chest I was so scared, but I got myself so worked up and nervous that when it was done I got sick, but if you don't eat anything you will pass out, that happend to two friends of mine, but if you have

I got my belly button pierced when I was 16, and thats been a few years ago. I know back then you had to be 18 in order to get it done, unless you had your parent or guardian sign for you to get it. As far as the pain goes, it doesnt hurt at all during the actual piercing, but there is a slight annoying pain afterwards. Just remember to keep it doctored. The person who pierced mine told me to use Sea Salt on it or Bactine. I chose to use Bactine, which worked great. Also, you have to remember to keep the ring turned every so often or else it hurts and could even get infected. I also kept mine washed with antibacterial soap (such as dial) whenever i was in the shower. But whatever you dont take it out or try to change it before your suppose to. I think the person who pierced mine told me not to change it for two months so be sure to follow those directions very carefully. Besides that i dont know what else to tell you. Good luck with it!

Well, the actual piercing does not hurt but after that it hurt me for a good year. It never really felt comfortable. My nose ring hurt worse but it healed the fastest and I have never had problems with it. When I became pregnant, I got several stretch marks stemming from my belly button peircing that are very unattractive. If I had known all this, I would have never got the peircing. They are pretty, but not for everyone.

You are too young to go by yourself. You're going to need an adult to go with you.
Sometimes we do things to our bodies to be in style and we don't think about the consequences this might have in the future. I got my nable pierced and here I am... stretch marks around my belly button after having my child....

You might really want to think about that.

why does a 13 year old need a belly button ring? who's gonna see it but you? i got mine done when i was 18 - and now i'm over it. it was kinda the cool thing to do back then - like 6 years ago, but i haven't heard of many people getting it done lately. when i had it done, you had to be 18. it was a pinch - a painful one. and i threw up afterward! (they told me i was their first puker...) but whatever...

I think that you are too young, because this s a decision don't I don't feel that you are ready to make at your age. Well if you decide to do it good luck and it does not hurt until afterward. Just don't wear any tight fitting shirts.

i don`t know about the age, but when i got mine pierced you had to be at least 16 and if under 18 you had to be with your parents with i.d.&everything. yes it does hurt, it`s like a pinch, but it`s not excruciating pain like some might say.

Why does anyone think it is a good idea to increase the probability of infection?
