My wife and I liked the name Oliver, but then went with Asher. Oliver is especially cute when they are young, but less so as they get older. I do like it better than both Jack and Aidan.

Statistically, Aiden is more popular than Jack or will be soon since it's a current hit. It's very trendy, and while there's nothing wrong with trendy, I think the other 2 are better choices. Jack is a very strong, traditional name that sounds fun and a tad mischievous. Oliver is a great name, but I think it would only work on a certain personality. If Oliver grew up to be a shy, quiet type of kid, this name would not be best. If Oliver is an outgoing prankster, this name could be a smash hit. I personally love Oliver, and it has almost a romantic feel to it. But I think Jack is the best name here because it's solid. A sure winner.

Those are really good names. Too bad you can't use them all.
You know as in Aidan Oliver-Jack or Oliver Aidan-Jack or
Jack Oliver-Aidan or Jack Aidan-Oliver.
Aidan Jack, Oliver Jack Aidan Oliver sounds okay, yet it doesn't have that kick.
Just throw in the towel and use two out of three or all three.

Oliver's got a twist...but kid's can be so cruel. If you like the 'Oliv', why not try for girl later using name Olivia (Liv-nickname)? Very pretty.
Jack, just not Jack Daniel or stupid jokes will follow...I know, that's my oldest brother's name and no, not based on the alcohol, my parents rarely drank. Both these were family names (other brother, Jason Levi, again, family names). Jack and Jason were both well-liked, intelligent, quick-witted and very popular with the women; however, both settled down to become financially successful, great husbands and fathers, and leaders in their communites. (Thank God;)
Aidan, trendy, but would work in urban, suburban or rural area. Very solid choice!
Why not use the two: Aidan Jack or Jack Aidan? Either work well. Jack is a nickname and could be used regardless. (My oldest son was known by both his first and middle names, Jon-Philip (by his grade school), now: Jon (business associates), Philip (family and closest friends) and by his nickname, you guessed it: "Jack" (business, family and friends).
Congrats to you and Enjoy the Boy!

Your call, but if you go with Aidan or Jack the kid may be one of 3 or 4 kids with the same name in his first-grade class. Check out the popular baby names list - Aidan and Jack are not at the top, but very popular.

My younger brother's name is Oliver--I personally love that name...it also works really well, when he was a baby, it was the cutest name for a baby, and the same as a young child. He's in middle school right now, and it's adorable--all the girls love him and think his name is "so cool!"
The funny thing is that when he was younger, he insisted on being called Jack for a while (it wasn't his middle name or anything--he just loved the name)
Anywas, my point is that I personally like Oliver best (but I could be biased), and Jack would be next--Or Aiden Jack, maybe.
