Ask your wife to take her handbag back to the shop where she bought the handbag. They sometimes have a matching purse.

What? In Canada we carry a purse only. That is the same as your handbag, and we don't care if it matches our hair.

I have one purse and too many handbags - but I don't buy handbags to particularly match my purse... I like it a bit different.
