This is for a story I'm writing a story about a boy (about high school age) who can turn into a timber wolf. I've had a lot of truble picking names for him and his two companions, a red wolf with an attitude, and a smaller female pale colored wolf. Any help would be appreciated for names for any of these. I was looking for Native American names, but it doesn't really matter.

if it is a funny story you could call him Bob Frapples, if not call the main wolf " Jason Chase" and the second one "Mark McMann"
and the girl wolf "Muna ashwarawi"

Wolf is an actual name used for people (from the German I think), so what about doing something simple for the boy,
like 'Wolf Timbre'. Switching the er makes the name seem quite normal, but if you have anyone trying o trace his tranformations then it would also serve as a clue.

For the red wolf, I'd use Eric Wulfe or Vulfe. Eric because of Eric the Red, a Viking (a whole tribe known for it's attitudes), and again, a name with a slight hint if the story needed it.

As for the pale female I would give her a lovely name, like Moonlight, or Moonbeam.

Unless this is an American Indian story, meaning the wolf boy is a native American, and you have enough knowledge of the lore and ways of native Americans, I'd stay away from native American names. You would make mistakes that the audience would catch--the tone of the story would be off. Make the names match the backgrounds of the boy and the wolves.

Stay with what you know. The story will be more powerful.

Romulus or Remus.
According to myth, Romulus and Remus were brothers who were raised by wolves and later founded the city of Rome.
