ok after you name your dog and it says to call it so it can get used to hearing its name how do you talk to it? my game keeps asking if my dog has responded and it says to keep calling her name im so confused how do you talk is there a button or something? HELP!!!!!!!!!

right when you start the game there will be like the home menu with th dog picture and clock, click on the middle button with the hand and the dog on it. It should whistle and then your dog will come running to you. Make sure to pet it! GOOD LUCK!

I have a cousin that got a Nintendo DS for Christmas and loves Nintendogs, so I think I can help you.
There is a little speaker built into the Nintendo DS, and all you have to do, is say his/her name very solid or playful...but you can't whisper. No buttons, no nothing. Just say it's name while facing the Nintendo DS. And then all that you have to do is just keep saying it's name and following along until it says...for example "Aqua has learned her name!" Or something like that.

It'll say something like, 'speak now' and you literally just have to say your dog's name clearly loudly, towards the general direction of your DS! There is an inbuilt microphone. If you havent said it properly your dog will give you a confused look and have a question mark over its head, if you've done it right then it will bark and jump up (or something like that).

No just call it his name.... you will here the game go ding when he hears you it takes a while for him to learn his name you have to say it like 20 times say it in the speeker and talk clear

there's a little dot on the bottom of the nintendo- below the A and B buttons, and the scroll there's a little dot on the side- its a pseaker so u just talk in that thing. there's no button u have to push just talk into it. its just one small dot.

you press the thing on the top right say 'sit' then put the thing that moves in it's mouth

You have to say it in the same tone EVERY TIME. It's hard, but you'll get used to it.

there is a mic. in the middle of ur ds u have to speak clearly in to that........ not to loud though
