That actually happened to me, I gave the guy all the money I had, just like he ordered, and asked him once to not shoot me, after he walked away, I called the cops, but of course they never found him.

Been there several times. First, depending on the situation, I try to convince the person that it's really not in their best interest to pull the trigger. If that doesn't work, I feed it (the gun) to them. If neither of those options is present, I guess I would hope they're a really bad shot and/or that they don't hit anything that would cause me to cease to be.

Under the circumstances experienced by Blue Lilly (and most circumstances faced by the general public), she did exactly the right thing.

Anyone in that type of situation who refuses to meet the demands of the assailant or attempts to fight off an armed attacker without proper training, is a fool and deserves to get shot. Therefore, I would choose hers as "best answer" if I had asked the question.

Basically, give him whatever he asks for, but if he flinches for a second or diverts his focus, he's going down.

I can say that cause I can perform it.

It's why I have to shake my head at people who think they'd be safer carrying a concealed weapon. Most people don't have the presence of mind, reflexes or accuracy to use/draw a weapon in a crunch. Chances are, the perp would take the weapon away from them, pistol whip them with it and pawn it the next day.

I don't think you could really say unless it was happening. I'm sure my heart would be beating ultra fast, just as it does when I'm pulled over by a cop. But a part of me thinks I would be calm, because I would know that regardless of what I do this person has most likely predetermined what action they are going to take. For certain, I would be thinking of my loved ones and probably be praying.
