For the same reason that Christianity replaced Judaism as the fastest growing religion. People like it. The Muslim faith could be a good one if not for the sections in their Qu'ran about killing non-believers. This section of suras is called "Jihad". Other portions of the Qu'ran are quite good because they follow the Hebrew Talmud and Gamora which has its roots in Babylonian law. Muhammad was fascinated by the Talmud and used much of it when he dictated the Qu'ran.

becuase it is the religion that has the most freedom, meaning that there is no hierarchy for the people to answer to to, unlike say, catholicism. because, at its core, it is a step upon christianity. also because the muslims that we hear about on the news are fighting against the western powers and that appeals to people that feel that they are suppressed. also becuase Islam is an expansionistic religion that has been growing rapidly ever since its inception

millenniums of forced conversions--on the pain of death.

Having one's melon chopped off if they wish to renounce Islam and join another religion...

oh, and BTW........these things are occurring even as we speak.......

your answer...

how fortuitous you've not pointed out that Islam has not yet evolved past the killing of 'non-believers"

I don't like bashing Islam, but you're not being honest

the "muslims" you see on the news i.e al qaeda and other terrorist groups are actually doing the exact opposite of what Islam is all about. if you actually read about it, you'll find that it's the most peaceful religion and emphasizes brotherhood

It's always been there kiddo....immigration has brought them here and world wide, and thus they stand out in more traditionally Christian environments.

I wont say it's the fastest growing, it's just gaining more exposure than it has in the past.
