As a former mailman I would ask if you live in a large or small city and if you were close to a major mail hub.Generally you should get it no longer than 4 days.Unless you know the mailer personally they sometimes say something is shipped on a certain date when in reality it was shipped later. Check the postmark when you get it. It will have the day it was mailed. If you don't receive it by Monday have the shipper run a tracer from their end.

Yes, they probably have lost your package. I hope you got delivery confirmation or insurance, not because the insurance is any good, but lost packages are easier to locate if they have delivery confirmation on them. I shipped a package Priority Mail and it never arrived at the destination. I went to the post office and was told that they would NOT even accept a trace for it until it had been over a month late. I filled out the form and turned it in to the Post Office and never heard anything back on that either. I might as well have thrown the paper in the trash.
Did you know the the Post Office has a record of only paying about 1/4 of the insurance claims for packages THEY damaged? Not something that would make me want to send anything by mail!

Priority isn't guaranteed to be delivered in 2-3 days but I would think that by 5-6 days you should have gotten your package. See if the sender really sent it when they said. A lot of times people lie and tell you they mailed it out when they really didn't. Also see if the package had any tracking number with it.

Depends on where it was sent from and where it was going. "Priority" doesn't mean much anymore, Sometimes regular mail reaches it destination faster than priority. Of course, delivery of mail is a lot different now, but my g'mother says that
there was a time when mail was delivered much more efficiently. She says that candidates for government jobs - re mailmen were given stringent tests which they had to pass in order to become a mailman or even to work in the post office itself. Now, she says, she sees advertisements for mailmen through some kind of agency, She says that some of those people who get those jobs aren't that efficient.
(You should put a trace on the mail you are missing)
Good luck.
(That's why more andmore people use Federal Express. Costs more but far better service).

Yes, you may want to ask the sender to contact the post office. They may be able to trace the package. Good luck!!

It depends on how far you are. My priority mail to Saipan always takes about a week.
