Are you buying the stretch kind? They tend to do that. I wear Levi's and I also like Silvertabs. They come in so many different sizes, styles, and lengths it's easy to find a pair you like.

Typically a jean that fits snuggly, but not to tight so extra skin doesn't hang over. Even the skinniest people have extra skin hanging over the sides of their jeans if they are to tight. I prefer narrow legged jeans or skinny jeans. But mainly it depends on you body type. Like if you have a round top bot a narrow bottom, bootcut are best. If you have larger legs, flares are better. If you are narrow or small skinny jeans are best. I love getting my jeans at Gap. They have reasonable prices and good fitting. But you don't want to go to cheap. Thats risky. You want a guranteed good fit. So I suggest no Meijer or Walmart. Gap and Old Navy are good for people in their 30+ and larger. You can shop there if you are younger then 30 too, but you could also look into Hollister and Abercombie and Fitch. They have good reliable jeans but they are quite exspensive.

i agree with the levis - have a ton of them, they are reasonably priced, and have fun styles and washes. get them at kohls - or even now places like pacsun and urban outfitters carry their higher-end lines.
