Today I found out that my friend's(a guy) older brother attepted to commit suicide. What should I do to help my friend? He was really upset, I have no clue what I should say to him! And what if his older brother does commit suicide! What can I do to help?

There are support groups out there for siblings of people who have depression or have attempted/committed suicide. Right now, its most important that your friend's brother get help from a professional, and that you are there to support your friend. Be there to listen to him more than to talk.

Don't do or say anything. Just be there for him when he needs you and listen to him. Let him say everything he needs to without judging him or telling him what to do to "fix" his situation
