Catchmengt area's can vary from year to year.

Next year is a low Birth rate year so catchment area's are expected to expand.

2011 secondary school intake is a high birth rate year so the catchment area will contract.

It varies from year to year and there are many variables that effect catchment areas. Birth rate, How many applications the school receives, Siblings at school, Location of school etc.

It is impossible to say for sure if you are in the catchment or not at any particular time. One year you may be within the catchment but next year you could be out of catchment.

I guess everyone is in a catchment area but it depends on which school you are referring to. The Department of Education will clarify it for you.
