when you click start and go to programs,click games and you see internet checkers,spades,etc....are you playing the computer? why sometime it signs off , and why do we have to have internet access to play?

well it depends. most of the time your playing another opponent from some where else in the world. idk if you know that yet but i just thought you might 'want' to know. its an internet game, thats pretty much the reason. sometimes its your opponent who wants to quit the game.. hope i helped. 8)
