yeah u don't have to give them ur credit card info u only need to do that if u plan on using ur credit card for buying songs.

itunes itself doesn't cost money. but when you make an account, you give your credit card so that they can bill you when you buy music. if you use a gift card, you don't need an account for that.

if u have an itunes gift card just put ur credit card on their and when u run out of itunes card money, then buy and new one and just keep buying itunes and itunes giftcards
