For a boy, is 13 too old to still be sleeping in his mothers bed?

I don't have any kids but my friend who got divorced recently has been letting her 13 year old son sleep with her ever since the separation. Is that normal?

yeah, i would say that is inappropriate...if the boy is having difficulty coping with the separation, she should seek counseling for him

She can cause more trauma to the child than what he already has b/c of the Divorce. Never good to let a child stay in the parents' room after a certain age. I can understand like if he had a nightmare or something, but she needs to get both her and her son into counseling to find ways to help deal with the separation anxiety.

Yes, it is too old. My mom never let me sleep in her bed even though she's a single mother. It can be allowed for a few nights because of the divorce but then it should be known that he is too old to do that and needs to stop before it becomes a habit.

Well, a 13 year boy should have his own room for sure. But I'm sure this is quite Innocent, she is just lonely and don't like to be alone.

But she really cant keep this up, she has to get use to sleeping alone, or it will develop into something unhealthy for sure.

13 year old boy is to old to be sharing a bed with his mother. She should stop that right away.

It is not. But everything depends on situation. I mean the divorce could harm the boy too much or something.
