It's a made-for-tv movie that's shown exclusively on the Disney Channel, except now it's also out on DVD.

Well it started out as a movie on Disney Channel. It's a musical, now it's a concert where they perform it in front of a live audience and they are making a second High School Musical movie.

High School Musical is sort of like a musical comedy thats on Disney Channel. I like it.
