Co-workers may or maynot care depending on their feelings toward you - your manager or supervisor might be another case altogether. I would avoid being seen if you value your job. If you dont then go and have a beer with them!

No, it is not OK .. If you call in sick and others cover for you, then you are a drag on the system . Walking around down town takes energy .If a person is sick, they do not feel like it .
