It is but you do need to speak to your insurer to make sure they class Madeira as Europe.

yes it is definatley, it is a part of Portugal which is a member of the EU. Like with the canaries which is not in the EU but part of Spain which is in the EU!!?!

Best to double check with your policy underwriters first though before buying any insurance and read the small print to know what you are getting and make sure your policy includes helicopter rescue in the event of an emergancy
