I would rather have JaMarcus Russell on my team because his arm is like a cannon and he is fairly mobile. However, the SMARTEST pick for the Raiders is Joe Thomas because their O-Line is terrible

I think Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson might be the #1 overall pick (if not #1 then in the top 3 for sure). Although the Raiders may go with Russell, the LSU QB. Russell would be a much better fit as a NFL QB. Brady Quinn will probably go in the first round but I'm not sure why? I see Quinn as another over-hyped, over-rated college QB that will have a short and lack luster career in the NFL.

As we all know the Oakland Raiders will get the first pick and they desperatrely need a QB. QUinn has all of the hype and hoopla that playing at Notre Dame will give you but I have to agree with a few of the other posters Russell from LSU is a much better pick but I still think that when it is all said and done that Quinn will still be the first overall pick.
Also by the way QUinn's brother in law Hawk who was drafted by Green bay did go in the first round but not first overall that honor went to Mario WIlliams.

I'm a Domer, and love Brady Quinn. However, his stock has fallen since losing to USC and LSU, and I don't believe he will be the first overall pick in the draft. While the argument that the Raiders need a better QB may be true, they might be better seved trading away that pick for multiple players and/or picks. What they need most of all is help on the O-line. Without better pass protection, throwing another QB in there would be cruel. If they do decide to go QB with their #1 pick, it should be a scrambler, like JaMarcus Russell. If they trade their pick away to a team that need a pocket passer (and many teams do), then Brady Quinn still has a chance at going #1.

Brady Quinn will be and should be the first pick in the '07 Draft. The Raiders desperately need a new QB. Brady Quinn would be good for the Raiders because he has a strong arm and at least will have 1 OK receiver to throw to. The Raiders will still suck because their O-Line will... you know: suck.

Brady Quinn probably but don't count out Jamarcus Russell from LSU. He could move up on many draft boards before it's all said and done. Don't be surprised if Joe Thomas goes #1 either. Don't expect Dwayne Jarret or Calvin Johnson though. The Raiders have enough WRs.

I agree Brady Quinn should be the first pick. The Raiders need a leader and I think Quinn could do that

I'm sure a lot of teams would like to have a tall athletic receiver like Dwayne Jarret. I think Adrian Peterson would be a bust, since he had a breakout year and now he's just average and getting hurt.
Although, everyone knows that the linemen win games, so I wouldn't be surprised if some linemen go really high in the draft. Seems like the NFL are finally starting to appreciate what a good line can do.

Brady Quinn is a great, all around player, but I'm going to go with Jamarcus Russel of LSU
